Karlsson vs Visnovsky

Hi,
I'm currently leading my league and I need to trade Karlsson before the start of next season or I'll lose him to the free agents. Would you consider this a good trade?

if you trade him does he become a free agent for the other team or do they get 3 years with him

If whichever team you trade him to gets to keep him for future seasons because his term will renew by going to a different squad, just make it crystal clear to the entire league that he's on the block and highest bidder wins. That should fetch you far more than Visnovsky, I would think.

They get 3 years. I've already done that and the only other offer I got is Karlsso. + Getzlaf vs Doughty + Voracek.

you dont have to move him now so dont neither of those offers is worth it at all

you will likely find better deals either at the deadline or after the season is over

there will be other people trying to unload players in the last years of their deals as well and will be more than willing to swap for karlsson i am sure

too many think they are contenders right now and arent willing to move a part they need now most likely

Are you looking like you can win this year or not? I would jus assume let him go to the draft and redraft him.

I'm winning right now and next season I'm losing Pietrangelo, Subban, Giroux, Perry, Getzlaf, etc. I don't think I'll have another chance next season.

It sucks that you're going to lose Karlsson regardless but I would not make the trade for Vis. I agree with the comment above, as the season goes you'll be able to fetch a better deal. If not, throw him into the FA pool. It will improve your chances of re acquiring one of the guys you have to drop. You might even be able to get karlsson at your pick.

this is exactly right

6 player league you are dumping 6 players you will get 1 of them back unless you have no 1st rounders

Yeah but what about this year? Weber and Brendan Smith aren't doing much this season. I'd rather win this season than losing because I might get Karlsson next season which I highly doubt since he will be the first player picked.

Another guy offered me Streit. If I was to trade Karlsson would you prefer Streit or Visnovsky?

I'm currently in talk with him. I'm trying to convince him to put Datsyuk in the mix.
