Time to get Karlsson is now?

With Karlsson done for the season, would it be foolish to offer Yakupov for him so I can stash him as my 4th keeper or stick it out with Quick as my 4th? I'm looking at maybe a Sid, Ovie, (Karlsson) and Seguin as keepers. I'm not giving up on Seguin as a keeper so it would be either Quick or Karlsson. I want to jump before someone else does.

Yak probably won't make my 4 considering 1 has to be a goalie or d-man.

In a keep 4, Karlsson has significantly more worth than Ovi, Seguin and arguably quick. High end offensive d guys are few and far between and Karlsson is the best of the best. If you can lock him down, especially for someone who's not a keeper, then yes, absolutely.
Not that you asked, but if you're keeper are Sid, Karlsson, quick and either Ovi or Seguin, that would be hard to top.

If the other owner will part with Karlsson then absolutely. He's never going to be cheaper than he is right now.

I pretty much ended my hopes this year, but landed Karlsson 2 minutes ago.

Had to. though I was in a tight race for the money and now am likely done. toughie, but come next year, think I will be happy I made the move

Ya, had to. Just would have been nice if I was further out of it. I have dumped a lot of cash into the league ($10 per transaction and I am a wheeler/dealer), so to bow out when I had a shot is hard, but in the end I think it was the right move. I had Vanek and Marleau inflate my numbers and am now falling back to earth while others are catching up and/or overtaking me.

I would have hated it more to finish outside the money AND not grab EK when I could

Karlsson obviously has insane skill/talent, but a big part of his game is his skating. I'm a little worried about how such a significant injury will effect that aspect of his game. Not saying I don't think he'll still be good offensively, but I do wonder if he'll start out slow to begin next season.

Ya, a risk for sure. Bieksa said he didn't feel right until a year after. Still, he feels totally back to normal now, so a slow start from EK may just be part of the deal, but for the long haul its still a move you gotta make
