Value of the Nuge
So I have a guy whose fed up with the Nuge and is willing to deal him for ANYONE of my dmen (likely to be between Markov, Kronwall and Visnovsky). Am I crazy not to accept a deal? I really wanted Nuge at the beginning of the year but he's off to a really slow start and I'm not convinced that his shoulder is 100%.
As it stands right now, I don't see myself playing him in my starting lineup (see my starters in bold in my sig). It really depends how he finishes the season, but can you see him as one of my potential 4 keepers by year end? Right now I see my keepers being Sedin, Backstrom, Ovie and Pietrangelo maybe... Should I make the move and is he a keeper given my lineup and league settings??

I'd trade off Vis, who'll not be playing much longer anyway. Then flip a non-keeper F later if you need help on D but RNH is too valuable not to take here.

It's a keep 4 league, which means RNH might not be a keeper, but then again he might be. He has the potential to explode and become an excellent keeper. And basically you're buying the right to see if he takes off this year with a defensemen you wouldn't keep anyways. Take the chance.
If he will take any, send Kronwall. He won't be a keeper and isn't in your lineup anyways. Visnovsky will outproduce him this year, so I'd keep him.

Thanks for the advice guys.
I was actually thinking of giving him Markov because he's the most injury prone of the three and basically only gets points on the PP. Kronwall is putting up the same amount of points as him right now but is also logging like 27 mins of ice time and is the main guy in Detroit. It's definitely between Markov and Kronwall but im not sure who I should get rid of....

Ya I'd definitely be dropping Markov. It's a matter of time before one of his knees gives out, why take that risk? Maybe he stays healthy and outscores Kronwall by a slight margin, or maybe he gets hurt and misses the last 25 games of the season. Too risky.
Trade Markov for RNH.

What cats do you use? In a multi-cat league that includes PIM, sog, hits, bs etc. the Nuge's value is pretty limited.......His upside is H. Sedin-type number, an assist and PPP machine, with very limited contributions across the other cats.
