Please help: Eriksson/Del Zotto for Faulk/Conacher+

I am currently 3rd in a 16 team dynasty league team with G,A,PPP,PIM,SOG,+/-. Here is the offer to me:

His Loui Eriksson and Del Zotto plus 4th and 5th round prospect picks for my Faulk, Conacher, Kuemper, and Ryan Johansen.

I think this trade helps me for the current season once Eriksson gets back on track. But I am a bit leary of letting go Johansen. Kuemper is no slouch either. We start 1G but the only ones I have are Halak and Nabokov. I also have Mrazek and Poulin on the farm.

I love Faulk and for some reason Torts is not playing Del Zotto on the PP. I think the 2 are pretty close in value but Del Zotto is the one that was being used in more offensive situation while Faulk was the great all-around guy.

What do you guys think?

I think Faulk will produce as well or better than MDZ this year, and way better in the future. Think Pietrangelo.

To me this comes down to the proven Loui vs Conacher, Kuemper, Johanson.

Exactly. That's where I am struggling to make a decision. Johansen is really starting to look like a good player (Columbus did not give him much of chance). Kuemper can be mentioned as one of the best goalie prospects.

Follow the age old adage of "He who receives the best player wins."

Eriksson is the best player in this deal, you already know what he is capable of so why are you worried about what the other players "MAY" achieve in the future.

Me, I take the 70+ points guy that has hardly missed any games in his career due to injury.

Do the deal. Eriksson and Del Zotto are the real deal. The others are still unproven. A case can be made for Faulk, but what do you hope he turns into, a Del Zotto. Eriksson is a stud and Del Zotto is proven 40 point d. Do it

Another vote for taking the deal. I am trying to grab Loui in my keeper leagues too. Proven over potential every time.

Well, this year Faulk and del Zotto have equal production and more recently it is Faulk who is getting all the PP time in Carolina while del Zotto has been relegated to the 2nd unit. So I am just not sure how far Faulk is away from del Zotto and possibly being better than him.

Stop worrying about Del Zoto and Faulk, one may be better than the other but who really cares what happens with those two.

The player you WANT is Eriksson, focus more on what he HAS done and what he CONSISTENTLY does and that is what you are trading for. The other pieces are just a wash in my books.

If you can get Eriksson, do it NOW !!!

The next post I want to see from you is that you did the deal and you have Loui "Mr Consistent" Eriksson on your squad.
