Brodeur for 5th round pick
He's always been the real deal but I've watched the devils play a few times and I can't believe how suffocating they are. They are great defensively, as always but it almost seems like the Parise transfer didn't phase them. I have an opportunity to snag Brodeur in a trade a for a 5th round pick in a roto style keeper league (4) w/ 11 teams. I don't plan on keeping him but I'm wondering what you guys think about Brodeur. My team is below and I could use Brodeur while Halak's groin decides when he can play.

Why not. It is only a 5th. I would. Unless you have to drop someone of value, there is zero risk here.

I think a 5th round pick is something quite tough to give up, but if you think this trade can help you this season, then I would do it. Brodeur is still a good role and has a place on your team for sure. I make the trade because I like the look of your team, and I'd rather try and win the year than keep a pick for next year and finish worse this year.

With the way things have panned out for Schneider (ie not playing every game) and Halak (ie injured and also not starting every game) I'd do it. Brodeur would help you this year and, depending on how many teams there are, having 4 goalies is always nice.
