G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG
Giroux and Backstrom(Was) for Toews and Neal not my team, what are your thoughts? best player received (Giroux) wins this or toews and neal >>>>>>

any other year but this, giroux and backstrom. this year, toews and neal - safer production.

In a one year league it's probably a lateral move. Neal and Toews are safer no doubt, but I think Grioux and Backstrom both have a potential to hit higher points than either one of Neal or Toews can reach. This is a trade where no one wins, until the season is done, and you see who got the most points, and what I mean by that, is that you can't rate the trade just by looking at it.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it isn't even close for a one year. Neal and Toews are going to get way more +/-, SOG, G, PIM, and PPP this season. Yes, Giroux and Backstrom are all world talents and have quality linemates to choose from, but Toews and Neal are playing with other superstars on two of the most elite teams in the league. Even if Philly and DC turn it around, they won't be in the same tier as Pens and Hawks.
EDIT: Watch Holmgren trade for Iginla or Ryan and make me look like an idiot

Definitely take Toews and Neal, in a short season its better to bet on guys who you are not waiting on turning things around.
