In a one year 10-team H2H league that counts G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,GWG,HITs would you drop the slumping Mikko Koivu for Brunner? I've been trying to move Koivu but no one is interested at all.
I have a potential trade on the table that will have me overloaded at C so Brunner's RW eligibility would be a huge bonus for me. |

You can tell not having an offseason is killing the Wild right now... This really all depends on how much it will hurt you to keep the extra C. If it is going to cost you games played and mean you won't be playing Koivu anyways, then your choice has been made for you. If you can find a way to juggle players effectively, I'd keep Koivu. It isn't as if Parise and Koivu have been playing poorly. From what I've seen in the games I've watched the past week, they look ready to get on a roll again.

Ya I have the Koivu problem too, trying to ride it out. I wouldn't drop him for Brunner.

I'm guilty of having high expectations of koivu. Tbh I thought he might be able to put up a ppg clip being winged by Parise and Heater.
You know Koivu can score at a 0.75 ppg clip without much help, and that his upside at Minni is better than Brunner's this year. I'd stay the course. Everytime i think of trading Koivu, i get the feeling that he'll be one of those guys who just tears it up the second he's traded off my team *cough* elias

If you got too many good centers and Koivu is never starting for you, then it's ok to trade him for Brunner.

Guess it depends on team needs but from a value standpoint I wouldn't do it. I own Brunner and I'd trade him for Koivu if I had the opportunity.

I know I wouldn't let go of M. Koivu for Brunner. It really seems like Koivu is getting underrated, sure he isn't producing to well right now, but who is for the Wild? Would anyone be outright dropping Parise, because of his lack of production of late? The answer is no, for most everyone, and I think Koivu is proven good enough to warrant the same answer. I'm sure the Wild will be able to turn it around in due time, and once that happens I expect Parise and Koivu both to start producing.
