Hall/Parise for Seguin/Brunner (REP)

Salary cap league and I'm weak on the RW. These players would be keepers for the both of us. I am willing to gamble on Brunner.... I save 6 mill in cap.

The great thing about this offer is that both are minor eligible for the rest of this season so I can essentially keep more forward keepers from my pro. While I think I lose a bit of production (possibly depends cause Brunner is clicking Seguin still a bit cold) This sets me up for this year and for next year.

The key thing in our league is farm eligibility and low salary to be able to maximize daily starts. It is a very tradable asset given you get free hold overs at year's end.

What say you? I think I am deserving of a pick or something as well, I think I'm bringing more value. Or should I not even consider this?

If you're going to drop Parise at the end of the season then this trade makes sense as a complete salary dump. Conventionally, you are over paying for Brunner but salary is a negative asset in your league. You could probably ask a bit more since you are giving up the superior side of the deal.

Even more of a salary dump...... but now I can keep Hall/Brunner/Seguin..... ARGH! Decisions! I use Benn mostly as a LW because he is so horrible at FOW (only gained when in C or F position) so given that I'll just cut Backlund at seasons end to keep Brunner I'm not certain. Given salary and opportunity for keeper status I'm at a loss. I really am tempted to pull the trigger. Also with Brunner/Seguin that means I can cycle in my whoe farm team on any given night.

This trade all depends on what your Keepers will be. You want to trade away the players on your team that you are not planning on keeping at the seasons end. How do your keepers look before and after this deal?

I was initially thinking you were trading away far too much, but looking at your keepers before and after, I really like the deal for you.

Replacing Benn with Getzlaf is not much of a step backwards, while you add a load of flexibility with Seguin/Hall/Brunner having farm eligibility, and you shed a load of salary. I actually quite like it.

I say make the deal. Maybe try to squeeze a pick out of it as well because you are giving up more in the trade.

Because of farm eligibility I like the trade for you, getting an extra keeper as good as Seguin should be huge going into next season, especially to go along with Brunner and the guys you already got there like Huberdeau and Tarasenko, it puts you in a great position for the next season.

I was thinking maybe the hit is too big to take for this season, as I like the look of your team this year, and think you got a shot, but even taking this short term downgrade, you could still win, and of course as earlier pointed out it sets you up fantastically for the next, and that's why I would make the trade.

Boys..... I was just thinking....... let's say instead I could get Matt Read or Adam Henrique instead of Brunner..... would you rather one of the other two? I mean they are a bit less risky in regards to their roles on their respective teams. What do you think ? Should I take one of the others instead? If so which one is better in the scope of 1 year?
