DD is slumping, is it time to give him the boot?
Brunner is getting decent time and is playing with seriously talented players. Kesler is coming back soon, so this may be a temporary pickup. notable other options Kadri, Versteeg, Raymond, Boyes, Bourque, Hanzal, Dupuis, edit: hemsky and callahan are also available

The solution is yes, and drop Kesler.

I don't recall Kesler ever being intact for the past 2 seasons. I think what you meant by ***** was "guy getting injured after 2 weeks".

I'd have dropped Desharnais for Brunner awhile ago. Actually I picked up Brunner two weeks ago..while Desharnais has been sitting on the wire since the first week. Desharnais isn't much of a goalscorer Nyway.
As for Kesler i'd stash him on the ir as long as possible and wouldn't activate him right away unless you have to. |

Brunner for sure, then I'd consider Versteeg perhaps. The key reason is not that Desharnais is slumping, that is a byproduct as much of Pacioretty being out, Cole playing badly, and Desharnais lacking a little motivation, all of which will be righted at which time Desharnais (I'm convinced) will be back to producing at a nice pace (probably 60ish pt pace) with lots of PPPs. The key reason, in your case, is the goal-heavy format - I can see Brunner (and Versteeg) scoring lots more goals than DD and throw in some GWGs there.

Brunner all day. He should get better as the season goes along.

I wasn't very high on Brunner before the season began, but he's given every reason to change my views on him. He's been a welcome addition to my fantasy team, and I have no doubt that at this time I would take him over Desharnais.
Once Brunner is on your roster and producing, you might have trouble in your want to move him, that said there's no way I'm, dropping Kesler. When Kesler gets back I doubt he will be the Kesler of old but he will still be able to put up the points and be a more then effective player in a 10 team league, and as always his name will carry value so a trade could be the most effective use for him. |
