Spezza dropped - use my #1 Waiver?

Someone just dropped off Spezza ... is it worth picking him up with my Waiver #1 priority?

The latest notes say he'll be back, but not sure if he'll be back in time to be worth it?

The other caveat is that I have Whitney on the IR already, so then I'd have to get rid of someone too.

Worth it? He'll be too cold by then and just pick up the hottest player of the week during playoffs (4 moves allowed per week)

**2nd question:

If I dont do waivers and he makes it to FA, THEN should I pick him up? and if so, still, Who should I drop??

So I guess I'm still on the fence LOL ... even if I place the waiver request, I need to figure out who to drop, so I *do* have to worry about roster spots now, I cant have an extra player :/

I dont know if I have enough time to swing a two-fer before it's up either.

Spezza is much much better and more valuable than whitney. Stash him on your IR ASAP and when he comes back he'll be fine.

Don't take my opinion too much into consideration, Rangers might know something I don't. Spezza is a special player and normally I would tell you to jump on it. But last I heard he had just had back surgery and was doubtful to return this season.

How soon will he be back? It'll probably take a few games at least to get back on track.

I do agree, Whitney isnt as good, but he's slated to come back in like 4 -6 weeks I think vs I have no idea the time table for Spezza.

Remember that in H2H it's mostly about the playoffs weeks. Of course this depends on how many of your 12 make it to the postseason. Luck plays into it, and if you want to win you have to place bets on some long shots and hope they pan out, as taking the safe and steady path will rarely get you into first place. Take the better player and hope he's back in time to make a difference.

Playoffs are week 22 ... we are into week 15, so 7 more weeks to go. Top 6 go to playoffs.

So I suppose the question is whether he'll be back in 7 weeks from now? And what are the odds someone else will appear on the WW for me to use my #1..
