Rebuilding a keeper team... help me rank plz!

Hi, I have inherited a terrible keeper team, and the goalie position is a complete mess. The only goalie I inherited was Fleury, but I really need to rebuild this position from scratch after him.

I'd like to speculate by picking up 3 or 4 near-term prospects/backups who:

(a) have the potential to be well above average or even league leading goalies were they to start

(b) just might pick up full time gigs over the next season or two

The available goalies in this league:

If you had to choose 4 names from the above list to be the future of your team, who would you choose? I understand that nothing's guaranteed and most of these guys may never get the starting gig, but who do you think has the best chance above to be special?

The two I bolded are the only ones with high upside and likely will be starting goalies. Harding and Greiss may be starters in a year or two. For now Khudobin and Montoya are good back ups.

Hi One87, I was looking at Hackett's stats, and noticed that Kuemper appears to be outplaying him this year:

Thoughts on Kuemper being the goalie of the future there rather than Hackett?

My 4 are harding, hacket as backstroms is ufa, khodobin- good team rask is an injury risk and he can steal starts if he struggles in the future, irving- been playing well in the ahl and kippers days are likely numbered as cgy needs to blow up the team.

Well first off, i would need to know more about your team.

- Who are your other three goalies?
- How many teams are in the league?
- What does the rest of your roster look like?

There is not a whole lot to chose from in the Free Agent list. One guy to look at that you didn't mention is Victor Fashk in Anaheim;

A couple other backup type starters would be Greiss and Kuhodobin simply because they play for strong teams and when they do get a chance to play, they should at least be able to produce a good game and potential win.
Problem is, you'll only get one game a week at best from them.

I think you would be far better off to try and make some sort of trade to improve your goaltending position.
Let me know who else you have and what other players and I can try and help you out some more, but its pretty vauge for right now?
