Who would you rather keep in multicategory format? Eberle has amazing linemates and might become a 90+ forward soon. Are Perry's peripherals (SOG, PIM) enough to make up for the point difference?

I am not sure why you ask the 90 point question and use that as a comparison for Eberle to be better than Perry when Perry hd 98 points. Eberle MIGHT get there...Perry has been there, and brings the PIMs. No contest IMO. EDIT: same season...Perry had 105 PIMs and 205 Shots on goal. Last edited by fulcrum; 02-09-2013 at 10:07 PM. I don't see Perry posting that kind of number again, I peg him more on 70pts if he bounces back to form. Eberle is only 22 and has already posted 76pts last season, im guessing he'll be an elite scorer with 90+ potential in a couple of years, he's got great linemates to help him out. Perry's situation is not as predictable in terms of the support he'll have next year. So going forward, I think there's going to be a significant gap in the amount of points they produce, at least thats my line of thought.

I'll take a 70 point Perry with 100 PIMs over a 90 point Eberle in multi cat any day. I thought you wanted an opinion, not an arguement.... |

Lol ya i did, and its much appreciated, thanks. I Just wanted to state why I think Eberle has a big advantage in point production going forward.

Perry for me. Who knows what numbers hell put up in the future?
Even if he "only" puts up 75 points and Eberle 90, his peripherals makes up for it. And I see him closer to 75 than Eberle is to 90.

I love Eberle, but if you league counts PIMS and shots Perry is pretty money.
In my H2H points league, for example, Perry's edge in PIMs and shots is worth about an extra 15 points every year, and he's pretty consistent with both. That means Eberle HAS to put up 90 pts to be better. Another thing to consider is a possible change of scenery for Perry next year, which could mean a boost for him.

In many multi-cat leagues, Perry still goes in the first round, I don't think there are many leagues where Eberle goes in the first. Perry is one of the best players to have in a multi-cat league, and in such set up I would glady take Perry over Eberle.
