Karlsson/Pietrangelo for Crosby

I sent out an offer of Karlsson and Getzlaf for Crosby. He countered with Sid in return for Karlsson and Pietrangelo. I have Getz and Petro valued about dead even after taking into account positional value. I'm stacked on D but this would still be quite a hit to absorb since none of Wis/Burns/Letang are currently healthy. Seabrook would be my only remaining healthy member of my current top 6 D corps. I'd probably pick up somebody like Harrison/Morris from waivers, but there's not much else out there.

I would definitely accept that deal, especially when I look at your D depth. I probably would have accepted that deal even if your depth wasnt as strong.

It's a 10 team roto league.

One year league I would probably do it, given you have other solid Dmen. The one-year upside of Crosby is worth the gamble. Plus, the loss of Spezza hurts Karlsson's production enough to pull the trigger (again, in a one-year league)

But if this was a keeper league, I'd probably steer clear. Just too many questions about Crosby's health (although he is FAR and away the best player in the world when he's healthy) to risk giving up arguably the top-two keeper Dmen to own.

*I'm not fully sure what a re-draft league entails, so I apologize for that. I'm viewing this solely from a usual one-year vs usual keeper.

So, the guy pulled the offer off the table. He had to drop one of the throw-ins to pick up somebody else. I'm not too upset. I'm sure I could get it done if I put it back on the table. He has absolute trash on the blueline. Other than Boyle he has the equivalent of 5 waiver pickups slotted into his starting lineup so he's pretty desperate for help. It'd be nice to know Letang is alright before I offer it again, as well. And I'm not convinced it helps me. Even with optimistic projections for Crosby and assuming he plays all 48 games it comes out as a loss on paper. But still oh-so-tempting...
