Default What do you guys think of this trade? Who gets the better deal?

I give Jordan Staal and get Danny Briere. What do you think?

I'm so frustrated right now. I'm 10th in a 13 man league and I was very happy with how I've drafted. I've only made 1 move thus far and it was to pick up JVR after moving Lupul to the IR. Starting to feel like I need to make some moves and shake things up where a lot of my players are hurt.

Rest of his team:

C - Bergeron, Roy, Brunner (RW), Sedin
RW - Franzen (LW), Read, Tarasenko, Michalek (LW)
D - Souray, Keith, Ehrhoff
G - Lehtonen, Fasth, Quick, Rinne

Start 2 C, 2 LW, 2 RW, 4 D, and 2 G daily

C - Krejci, Tavares, Benn (LW), Stepan
LW - Lupul (RW), Eriksson (RW), Van Riemsdyk
RW - Eberle, Pavelski (C), Wheeler
Defense - Carle, Burns, J.Johnson
Goalies - Halak, Niemi, Bobrovsky

Your team, imo, has to improve your dee, and to get some pts with your fwds. I.e
Stafford.

briere is a great depth guy, no point trading staal for him.

You could try and pry a dee away, but other than that, might have. To look elsewhere. He sure does love his goalies

Thanks for responding LeafNation. I'll tell you why my D looks so weak. I drafted 6 forwards and 2 goalies before I picked up a single D and its because with our scoring system, I find D to be almost useless in our league. There's maybe 4 or 5 Tier 1 Defenseman who would be valuable in our league in my eyes but the draft spots were better used on guys who are gonna get the fantasy points. Goals = 3, Assists = 2. Everything else (besides Goalie stats) is weighted much less in my eyes.

That being said, I still got my number 10 and number 11 ranked defenseman in Carlson and OEL. Myers is shitting the bed and Wisniewski is injured with a concussion. I'm considering dropping him and picking up another D here soon.
