Just wondering what everyone thinks. This is a 10 team one-year points league. Wins are worth 2 and shutouts worth 2. I know Kipper should still be considered the better goalie but even if/when he returns will he get any fantasy points for this format?
My other goalies are Price and Smith. We start 2 per day. Max 100 GP out of my goalies. Edit: Nabokov also on WW.

I'd still be rolling with Kipper the ratio killer. He's always been consistent for wins and shutouts.

I'd take Fasth.
You're gonna roll your Studs Price and Smith most nights and they'll consume around 75 starts total. Therefore you only need to get 25 mores starts from your 3rd goalie. Kipper will get more starts but a lower winning %. When Fasth does start you'll get a higher winning % within those 25 starts. I'd also consider Nabokov over Kipper because I think the Islanders will win more than the Flames.

Kipper will be back soon so I'd stick with him.

Sometimes I just don't understand fantasy GMs. A new guy comes in, plays 4 games like a stud and he's already in consideration with a goalie that has been a stud for what 7, 8 years now? This is such a premature judgement, there is a lot of risk in jumping the gun here.

I thought you were asking who's better, Kipper or Fasth, with Nabokov in the equation, no?

With Kipper out an unknown amount of time, with Price/Smith already in the fold (40ish games from each) and Calgary playing like shit. I need wins and shutouts. That's why I posted the question.

Right. Maybe I'm naive to believe the reports out of Calgary (or just plain optimistic) but it looks like Kipper's injury is short-term. And Calgary appeared to be getting their shit together. They played excellent their last 3 games. I think they'll be a better team than their current record indicates. And look at Kipper's stats, I mean for Wins, you can't ask for anyone more consistent than him.
