My weak D is holding me back
Looking for some waiver advice. League / team in sig.
I had a crappy draft, as expected, because I traded all my picks to win last year. I have a pretty solid squad on F/G but my defense is not looking too hot: Wisniewski (DTD) B. Smith (IR) Giordano - off the PP1 OEL - thank god I have him Brian Campbell - again, phew Raphael Diaz - good flyer so far It's a pretty deep league on D with 11 teams and 6 starting slots. Available: Potsma A. Greene R. Ellis Vlasic Bouillon Oduya There's a couple trade options out there, for 2nd tier guys. Leddy, EJ, etc. WWYD?

If Smith is not a keeper why not drop him to take Ellis ?

In a points-only league I'd make a serious play for Leddy. He's a solid points producer, but his peripheries are crap which is why he's not valued as highly as some other defensemen that produce the same point totals. Of course, peripheries aren't an issue here, so he's a great option. If you can snag him for someone like Okposo I'd be all over it.

I'm dealing with Wis and Smith injuries too. I'm looking at Potsma in my league but you have better options. If you don't want to go the trade route (Leddy) then I'd go with Ellis - I'm happy with him so far as he gets quality PP time and he was born for the PP.

Picked up Ellis without a drop (moved Halak to the IR)
