Completely agree. But I don't think they have done right by him. Instead of lower line duties last year he should have been released back to Portland.

This move has John Davidson written all over it. Johansen has been one of the Jackets best players this season. I don't think he was sent down because his game wasn't ready for the NHL. He was sent down because he still needs to learn how to be a big impact guy in the NHL and the AHL is better training grounds for a kid, especially one in an organization with a history of losing and still trying to find their way out of the hole...
