trade offer made, was expecting a counter not an acceptance right away.
my grabner, berglund, and boyle for his briere, backes, goligoski line of thinking... I picked up both grabner and berglund off WW. grabner might have been my new keeper over iggy, but now I can keep backes. I downgrade at D obviously, but boyle is getting old and if I am not in the running near deadline I might do a partial rebuild only a partial keeper and while my keepers are aging, they're still too good to do a full rebuild in my opinion. did I lose this deal? should I have tried for more? rep for responses

Berglund appears to be off to a good start and may finally deliver on expectations to some degree ...but in your multi-cat roto setup Backes is a beast and the best player in this deal, and looking at your sig - he would be the only keeper for you out of the 6 players involved, so I like your side. If you were weaker on D, I'd be a little more concerned with giving up Boyle for this season but you look solid and like you mentioned - he's no spring chicken.
Backes is a nice add.

Agree with above. Backes is a great add and is the best player in the deal. I actually like Goli and now with Benn back he should get better. Briere is playing with Giroux right now and is starting to produce. So I think you did well here.

i like this trade for you for both present production and keeper production.
briere now that his healthy is a guy who will benefit form a shortened season & getting minutes w/ giroux. long term, i'd prefer backes over grabner who may be more offensively gifted, but is streaky. you sacrifice on D for the season, but goligoski isn't terrible. good work. |
