Default Ovechkin or H. Sedin?

League in sig.

The Ovechkin owner is getting frustrated and now is a perfect time to buy low on Ovi. Should I make an offer or stick with H. Sedin?

I guess it depends on whether you want to be the guy who soon becomes frustrated after trading away a consistent scorer like Sedin for a guy who cant find the back of the net?

If you like frustration then by all means, step up and make a move. If you like consistency and a quality star performer, I would keep Sedin.

It wouldn't take me long to keep on walking past OV and enjoy the ride Sedin offers.

H. Sedin hasn't exactly been killing it, but I get what you're saying. I guess I'm in the minority that thinks Ovi could explode out again despite his decline the past couple years. I guess I'm trying to steal the upside without thinking about the potential loss of Sedin's consistent assist per game.

At the end of the day, his production can only go up and more upside.
If your looking for consistency and goals/assist don't matter then Sedin.

My counter argument is based on his categories. Perhaps Sedin will be a more consistent scorer, but he's really only guaranteed to be more successful in A and +/- on a weekly basis. I'd take a chance on Ovechkin who could easily have a better number of G, PIM, PPG (not much weekly but could make a difference), and SOG. SHP is irrelevant, GWG is random and PPP could be similar. Ovechkin all the way for me.

I like the idea of going after Ovechkin, but I wonder if his owner would actually be interested given what you've said and the categories above.

If hits were a cat in his scoring setup, I would have considered it greater for OV. Ovechkin isnt a big PIM contributor, and to be honest the past few years he hasnt been much of any type of contributor. He also hasnt been a + player for a couple years either.

Theres a reason why OV owners are trying to get rid of him. Take that for what its worth.
