Default Help on trade offer: His Schneider for My Price

Believe it or not but my team is in last place and I doubt I can make a run for even 3rd place I'm so far back. It is an auction draft ($300) keeper leauge. (1G 2D 5F) Schneider is probably the cheapest good goalies out there, but is Lou really gonna get traded? am I gonna make a deal giving up a starter for a back up?

Thoughts?

I'm not quite sure I understand the rationale behind this deal. Looking at your sig I can only assume Lundqvist is your 1 keeper G anyway, right? In a league setting counting G peripherals I would think Price is every bit Schneider's equivalent [albeit MTL doesn't have as solid an all-round supporting cast].

I think most fantasy GMs would consider Price slightly better than Schneider even now.

Louongo will get traded eventually, but Gillis is not in a hurry to do this. It may not be until the off-season.

I would hold Price (MON) in a keeper.
Eventually Montreal is going to assemble a roster where they get good value out of the contracts they sign.

About 5-6 years ago, NYR was in the same position as MON.
Great goalie, terrible contracts (Gomez, Redden, etc.).
Slowly the contracts expire and they got dependable ones + some maturing youth.

Montreal is the same way. They'll get there and they'll spend the cap limit because they have it.
Keep Price in a keeper.
