Malkin trade
Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to toss an offer to the owner of Geno in my league. He has held an iron grip on Malkin and has never even considered moving him (another owner -friend- offered Tavares + Karlsson + Pavelec and it was turned down without a second thought this off-season). The other owner is rebuilding and my team is aging.. so I figured I'd take this step to solidify my forwards, then working on fixing the back-end (messier after this move). But.. how often does a Malkin become available. So I ask, did I overpay?
He gets: Skinner + Pietrangelo + Backstrom(G) + Markstrom I get: Malkin + Schlemko(basically a drop on his part) + J. Ward Top league in sig.

I agree, you stole him from this guy. I would have never taken that for Malkin. His production is hard to replace in one position and he didn't replace it in two positions.

Why would he take this deal and not the Tavares-Karlsson one from the summer? You steal this one. Backstrom probably won't even be a starter in the league next year.
Did he accept the deal?
