We only get 3 free agent pick ups and I've already used one for Tarasenko. There is no IR for me to put either of them on.
I feel like Selanne and Jagr are not going to get me much in the points department, so I don't know whether to pick up another FA to replace one of them or just stick to what I've got for 4-6 weeks until Hartnell is back ...and then another few weeks for Spezza League is one year only, 1 point for goal/assist. Goalies get 1 point for a win and 3 for a shutout. Forwards: Tavares, R. Nash, P. Kane, M. Koivu, Pavelski, Selanne, Jagr, Tarasenko Defence: Karlsson, Byfuglien, Phaneuf Goaltender: Rinne Bench: Spezza, Hartnell, Brodeur |

If I had to choose one I would hold on to Hatnell. He will be back in a few weeks where as the time table on a herniated disk surgery could be most if not all of the season. Spezza will be a long time coming untl he sees ice time again.

Need more info.
Does this points league have: *Is this a H2H league -or- full year accumulated stats? *Daily starts? Weekly starts? *Count by highest end-of-year totals or production as it happens? *How many "bench spots"? *Maximum games played? In a one-year league, with no IR, I'm thinking that you should drop both. You can't have 0 points sitting on your roster for an extended period of time. This doesn't sound logical. |

It's a full year accumulated points, 3 spots on the bench, weekly starts (Friday), max games = 48 x number of positional slots (ie defence is 48x 3 total)

Three spots on the bench isn't very many, but is some.
Technically, you could keep Spezza & Hartnell there... and as long as everybody else stays healthy and on-pace for games, then you wait to get a little production from them. Personally, I think it limits your freedom to make quick-decisions on hot-players... because you'd really only have one bench player. For now - keep them, list out your best waiver players. People here can help you decide whether it's worth it to drop them: which is based on the quality of the waiver players. |

In a shortened season you can't afford to be wasting valuable roster slots (unless it's IR) for extended periods of time... UNLESS your team is absolutely stacked and you're in a H2H format with playoffs.
