Greg Jamison is out as prospective Phoenix Coyotes owner. Someone is making attempts to put a new group together but it's a huge longshot.

When Jamison came in I thought #Coyotes had a good shot to stay in Glendale. Not anymore. Looks like relocation is in their future.

I think this was the final straw. This current lease "agreement" that Jamison was presented with expires today. It was approved by city councillors who are no longer in their jobs and they have been replaced by people who are not fans of using tax payer dollars to supprt the arena and team. Id say this was the final nail in the coffin.

I totally agree whit you Carcillo, we are waiting for the Yotes since 2 years. This year attendence 1er match: 17 000 spectateurs, 2e match: 8500, 3e match: 14 000, 4e match and lots of tickets WAS SOLD FOR 4,50$ we pay 14$ to go the Remparts.

I couldn't even believe the reports when they said that Jamison would get 15 million bucks a year from the taxpayers. How is that a financially viable team?

Yup, Phoenix is done.
With the ties between the NBA/NHL and the already specified conference alignment for next year, I'm feeling really strongly that we'll see a buyer bring them to Seattle.
Pending the Seattle basketball franchise happening first, of course.

Then, new teams in TOR & QUE for 2014-2015.

The Seattle timeline will be interesting because the NBA so far is not planning on playing in the new arena until 2015-16 season. Not sure if it's because the arena won't be ready until then or if it's something else, but they plan to play in Key arena in the meantime. Not sure if Key arena has the capabilities for an NHL team to play there.
