Drop Backstrom for Turris?
Turris has started strong and will be the #1 Centre in Ottawa while Spezza rehabs his back. Backstrom on the other hand has been producing little (along with the rest of the Capitals). In a regular season I'd be more patient but in the shortened format, I'm tempted to make a move. Am I crazy?

I agree that Backstrom has sucked so far but I'd still hold onto him. I think others are going to shit on you.

Yes, you are. Backstrom is WAY more talented of a player. Remember, just 3 years ago Backstrom was 100 pt player. He is still a PPG player and when Washington get their shit together, the points will start rolling for him. His health should be your only concern.

Turris is a third pick over all while backstrom is a fourth pick that says it all

In a one year league, this isn't so crazy. With Spezza out for awhile, Turris is the number one center and will be getting more scoring opportunities. It's not unreasonable to expect him to outscore or at least keep pace with Backstrom this year. WAS is a mess right now and when will they come out of it? It is closer than it would appear based on name value alone.

Backstrom is head and shoulders above turris. If you're intent on picking up Turris, at least trade someone to make room and dont just drop a superstar player.
