Nikitin (head) will not play Thursday against the Blues, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Recommendation: It's unclear if Nikitin has a concussion or just a contusion on his head, so consider him day-to-day until an update on his status is revealed. In the meantime, with fellow blueliner Adrian Aucoin (lower body) also out Thursday, Denis Savard and AHL Springfield callup Tim Erixon will see some ice time against the Blues.
