Getzlaf + Edler vs Kessel + Yandle
Hi,
Someone offered me this, he wants a good defenceman and lose some cap (I'd be getting 2M but I can afford it). Both Getzlaf and Edler are in their third season with my team so I'll have to get rid of them before the start of next season. The only problem I've got with this is that Phoenix seems to make Yandle play during defensive situations and OEL in offence, I don't think he'll outproduce Edler anytime soon. Kessel might have more potential than Getzlaf but I think it's paying quite high for someone who should be buy low. Am I right or completly off track? I like Getz Edler side better. I would try and get someone other then Kessel. Get Yandle and someone else.

Yeah the problem is I don't know who to ask for,
Here's his team: Forwards: Gaborik Couture Malkin D. Sedin Toews Crosby Moulson Skinner Wheeler Kopitar Seguin Zajac D: Byfuglien Shattenkirk Yandle Markov Voynov Larsson G: Schneider Rinne Bench: Visnovsky Kessel Granlund Burrows Bieksa I really don't know who to ask for, there's Toews or Sedin but I doubt that he'd accept it plus it'd cost me alot in the cap. I'm thinking of offering him Roy for Kessel or maybe try and get Wheeler or Seguin. Any ideas? Cheers, Olivier Rep will be given.

Well I'm not really looking for a trade, it's the guy who approached me with this offer, I'm thinking of maybe counter-offering with this: I'd be giving Getzlaf + Edler and receiving Yandle + Toews + a first rounder for the next FA draft. But I'll just play with him a bit see if I can get more. After all, I'm pretty much the only one who can afford to trade a cheap and good Dman as Edler in my league.

if you arent looking to trade then why are you
just because someone wants one of your players doesnt mean you are obligated to work out a deal sending your player to them

Getzy/Edler for sure.
IF...BIG IF...he gets moved/signs in Toronto with Kessel still there...90+pts both, including 40+goals for Kessel, and Thornton type numbers for Getzy. Edler is the clincher for me over Yandle. Who knows where he's going to land, and we've seen what happens to most D in the first year they're moved (Garisson, Phaneuf, Erhoff, Jovi, Bouwmeester...)...gotta be cautious.
