Default Ovechkin Trade

Giving up Ovechkin and Nabokov to get Taylor Hall and Both Minn Goalies (Harding and Backstrom). Do you think this would be a good trade to make now? Not sold on OVI, but picked 11th in the 1st round and didn't have many other options. The other guy also has Heatley RNH Price and Ribero who interest me. Should I make the trade as is?

I'd try to see if you can get another player out of it, but if not, take the deal. Minnesota is a very talented team and BOTH goaltenders are world class in Harding and Backstrom. Harding should be a clear starter on most other NHL teams to be honest. You'll have a trio of Halak, Backstrom and Harding. Things are looking good for you in that department. Taylor Hall looks like he's going to have his best season if he stays healthy. Ovechkin may not reach the numbers he's capable of because he's under coaching of defensively strict Adam Oates.

So, first try to see if you can get another player out of it. If it doesn't work, take the deal.

I think you should hold out for more if you're set on trading out Ovechkin. MIN is scoring more goals but I'm not sold on either of those goalies since MIN started out one of the best teams last season and finished out of the playoffs like usual. If you're after a goalie, look for one that doesn't time share in net.

In any pool there should be at least 1 or 2 people who think OV still has it in him. I think you can do better.
