My Visnovsky for his Stastny?
Hi guys. Just got offered Stastny for my Visnovsky on my league (you can find details below). Thoughts? I am tempted as Visnovsky isnt even playing currently and hes reported to return by or before Feb11. And frankly, do you guys think he will play with any effort when he comes back after this whole saga hes pulled on the Islanders?
If he does play to his potential, it would be an obvious loss for me as Vis can be an elite Dman... And Stastny aint playing too hot.I do have a ton of Cs too. Although most are dual elegibility JStaal Malkin Carter McDonald are.

It does leave your back end a little thin but I would still do the deal. I can't see Vis being the main guy with Streit there so I don't even expect his impact to be that great. Plus as you said.....he's not even with the team yet.

I'm surprised you're able to get ANYTHING for Visnovsky at this point. Take Stastny.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Dont you think however that 1) he now has a self imposed deadline of Feb 11 for him to return (so it looks like he WILL play eventually). And 2) That this is a 68pt dman (just 2 yrs removed) that will get top PP along with Streit?
So my question is... If he was playing tomorrow, will you do the trade? The fact that I have to wait until Feb 11 isnt the big deal. Its what will make me a better team once playoffs come.. Stastny has failed to break 60 pts in the last 2 years in a row. Ok, just trying to be the devil's advocate here to get more thoughts from you all and finally get me to decide.

Other than Duchene in 10-11, no one has broken 60 points for the Avs in the last two years, and Stastny was 2nd in team scoring both times. And even if he doesn't break 60 points again it's still a great deal.
Perry, Getzlaf, Ryan, and Visnovsky all went crazy two years ago and then fell off a cliff last year. He's obviously better than the 27 points he put up last year but his age, combined with his hold out, combined with his terrible year means I'd be ecstatic if this offer came along.
