Varlamov for Garon/Conacher
Have a deal proposed to me by the Varlamov owner. He's already decided to go into sell mode (his team is...not good lol) and I'm pretty weak in goalie depth.
I was lucky enough to pick up Conacher over the lockout because of Dobber and the dobber team and the owner is obviously very interested. I have what I believe is a top team in the league and I planned to compete for the title this year. However I have a few concerns. Conacher is playing very well and I'm a big fan. Since he has no games played before this season, he would be eligible to be kept through next season as a minor. This makes him very valuable to me, as I could keep him in addition to my 8 keepers (whatever they end up being. Sidenote, the lockout allows me to keep RNH on this as well. Just by pure dumb luck from his injury last year). However I see the value in selling high on Conacher so soon. I'm weak in net and could help fix that issue. So my question is three fold. Do I sell high now on Conacher or is his long term value high enough to feasible say no to potential offers? Is Varlamov a good trade target or are his past injury troubles concerning? Is the above deal one I should make? Rep will be given to any and all answers.

Varly is going to very good in Colorado. You're lacking a good #2 behind Lundy and Varly is just that. I'd move Conacher in a second for a young, starting goalie like Varly.

Yes you need another goalie. Offer him Nino and Brodin instead of Conacher to see if he would go for that. If it doesn't work, give him what he wants and get Varly as your 2nd goalie.

I'd pull that trigger in a heartbeat. A solid #2 could be what wins you the championship with that team in a 14 team league. My opinion.
