Default ROTO Team - Should I trade a Goalie?

11 team - Yahoo - ROTO league
5 Cats: G/A/PPP/W/SHO

My Team

C: Henrik Sedin, Mike Richards, Joe Thornton
LW: Tomas Fleischmann, Tyler Ennis, Evander Kane
RW: Claude Giroux, Jason Piminville, Daniel Alfredsson
D: Jack Johnson, Niklas Kronwall, Brent Burns, Jason Garrison
G: Jaroslav Halak, Ryan Miller, Jimmy Howard

Seeing as theirs only TWO cats for goalies, should I trade one of my top tier goalies for someone? If so who should I really try to get? Or should I keep my 3 goalies?

Anything else you guys would do or suggest for my ROTO team? Thanks

Even though there are only 2 goalie categories, they still make up 40% which is quite high. Since they are W and SO, they rely heavily on games played, so if other teams in your league are carrying 3 then I suggest you do the same. Less starts = less wins and shutouts.

Two important questions:

1) How many do you start per position?
2) Do you have max games?

In a W/SO league, you want to maximize your goalie starts.
Most leagues allow 48 GP per position (for this shortened year)... and since there is no way any goalie will play all 48 GP, it's best to have a 3rd goalie.

Most teams are aiming for
36 games played from one goalie
36 games played from another goalie
24 games played from third goalie
-----
96 games played.

If you have "daily starts", you'll need 3 goalies.
If you have "weekly starts" and only 2 goalie spots... well, THAT is when you might consider shopping your 3rd goalie. (The DobberEntry leagues are like this.)

Having a good quantity of goalies (3, typically) is very, very important in roto, especially when the categories are "quantity-based" (W & SO). When there are ratio-categories (GAA & SV%), that's the case when you might consider just rostering 2 goalies... but not in this league - you want three.
