Waiver upgrade?

There are a couple of decent players put on the waiver wire and I'm wondering any would be upgrades to my current lineup. It's points only keeper and I was an expansion team last year so obviously I'll not be contending for a few years.

Steve Sullivan
Simon Gagne
Milan Hedjuk
Johnathan Blum

I'm thinking that most of these players are an upgrade over Frolik. All three forwards are getting up there but it would be nice to get some extra points this year. (We punish last place team haha) Also since some of these guys could be playoff bound there is a chance that I could make a trade at the deadline for a prospect or draft pick. The only thing I have against Blum is that I already have 3 Predators. Any suggestions? Rep will be given

Long term, Blum is high risk, high reward and you are rebuilding soo... maybe it's an option. Gagne is also arguably better than Frolik and isn't automatically at the end of his career, especially if he can avoid another concussion this year. However neither Sullivan nor Hejduk interests me. Both are older than Gagne and nearly as injury prone (Sullivan- back, Hejduk- knees). The biggest concern I have with Simon is that he's never really shown flashes of brilliance with LA as he had other teams previously, in recent years.

Sullivan, if you're trying make a little noise for this year. He'll be the most productive of that group.

Opportunity is everything, and he has the most of that group, and it's not close. Blum may never pan out, Josi blew right passed him on the depth chart and he seems to be a guy who is struggling to raise his game to that next level.
