If this was a one-year league I think you would be able to lean back and forth on it, but since it is a keeper league, I think this is a no brainer!

Accept this as fast as humanly possible, in my opinion.

(I am also a huge Blues fan, so I have a little bit of bias there)

I prefer Loui Eriksson in a points-only league.
The guy is a 70pt player... and not lucky, he's good.
He can do it with Brad Richards.
He can do it with Mike Ribeiro.
He'll do it with Jamie Benn.

Three straight years over 70pts.
Try some research - name every player in the NHL that has done that each of the last 3 years.
I'd bet the list is 8 players or less.

leaning towards pulling the trigger here.......

Actually when I say its a points league, I meant not a Head to Head League.

Scoring format is as follows:
Forwards/Defensemen Stat Category Value
Goals (G) 5
Assists (A) 4
Plus/Minus (+/-) 2
Penalty Minutes (PIM) 1
Powerplay Goals (PPG) 3
Powerplay Assists (PPA) 2
Shorthanded Goals (SHG) 5
Shorthanded Assists (SHA) 4
Game-Winning Goals (GWG) 5
Shots on Goal (SOG) 0.8
Hits (HIT) .5
Goaltenders Stat Category Value
Games Started (GS) 3
Wins (W) 10
Goals Against (GA) -3
Saves (SV) 0.5
Shutouts (SHO) 15

I agree. I don't think I'd give up Loui to get Tarasenko. Call me crazy but when trading I'd rather have the consistent point getter here.

Eriksson for me - take what you know over what might be. Benn is back soon (from all reports) and they are a great combo together.

Add in Jagr to the mix and see a great year from him.

I was chasing rookies for years and never won...

Too much math.
You'd need an Excel spreadsheet and a full set of predictions for future years.

I'd still go with Eriksson (until I did the spreadsheet).

As much as I like Tarasenko I think the safer play is to go with the ultra consistant Eriksson
