Default Do I Pick Up Granlund?

No sooner had I posted about using my #1 Waiver spot on Stastny the other day, when someone decided to drop Mikael Granlund to waivers in my 10 team league. Question is, do I grab him immediately? I missed out on Tarasenko last week and now he'll be locked on that team forever. I don't want to make the same mistake with Granlund but my team is so young that I worry about having enough bibs to pass around.

Thoughts on Granlund and if you think he needs to be owned? I can't see him clearing waivers, so I'd need to use the #1 I currently own and would be dropping Filpulla.

Cheers!

Same. Some people would take Granlund over Tarasenko too, if that makes you feel any better.

Short answer: yes

Having watched each of the Wild's games, he shows some incredible vision, hands and creativity. The thing that makes him stand out for me is his hustle away from the puck and he does not shy away from going into dirty areas. While he is not putting up points like Tarasenko, he is one of the standouts on the team. Considering the recent upgrades to the Wild, that says a lot, IMO.

You'll dig that pickup for years to come!

*Edit: The other thing to consider is Koivu is not exactly shown to be a durable guy in the past few years. It would be fun to see Granlund center Parise/Heater. Methinks a few points might come from that.

Alright, I'm using my #1 waiver position on Granlund, unless someone can convince me otherwise....
