Do you Guys like this trade? Need Help Fast

I need a goalie bad. I've worked my butt off to get something done prior to the draft and then into the early early season. I finally have an offer I'm considering. Team and scoring cats are in sig. What do you guys think?

I give Moulson and Clarkson and my 8th
I get Smith and his 5th

My thoughts: I can replace Moulson, minimal hit. Clarkson is a different story. However, with what I have in net now I am extremely vulnerable. Injury or poor play from either Rask or Lindback and I'm pretty much toast. I'm giving up a lot, but I'm getting a pretty solid Goalie back and I certainly have the need. I'm inclined to do this.

If you can spare the offence then I think you might not have a choice here. I'm not a big fan of Smith and would look for a cheaper goalie option elsewhere but with 2 goalie starts, you do need an insurance policy here.

Never easy to get a goalie not sold on smith yet but it is what u gotta do.

It's a very fair trade.
I'm personally more fond of investing in skaters... and I don't overpay for a goalie who had a really good year.

I'd probably decline this trade.

Is this a daily-start league?
You might be able to simply stream in back-up goalies (Nilstorp, Harding, etc.) to supplement Rask's stats. I think it will be one of those strange fantasy hockey seasons where you don't need TWO upper tier goalies to win a league.

Seems like most are on the same page I am, not a great deal I win hands down, but, perhaps fair. It fills a hole I've got with my Tendies. Pengwin, it's not a daily start league if I understand what that actually means. You have a set roster, you determine the guys you play day by day. But your lineup is set, want to add a guy, it's either trade or a FA. If your going to have success in the goalie scoring stats, you have to roll three goalies or get awfully damn lucky and have two guys stay healthy, play the majority of games and put up good numbers. Anyone else??

If I werr you, I'd either ride it out or target a different goalie - someone who has multiple years of success under their belt. Goalies are tricky, even when they make it to the NHL. Look at Cory Crawford.

What other Goalies are available in the WW? I know in a few of the pools that I am in, Ward has been dropped after the first night debacle.

Here is the problem. 13 teams and all are carrying at least 3 goalies and most teams 4. There are no starters available, few backups, like 3. All the rest are NA. There are no cookies in the cookie Jar! When I said I had a problem, I wasn't kidding. So, maybe this helps your evaluation, not sure. BTW, Goldman is pretty high on Smith and Dobber has him ranked 12 and Justin has him 11. This is encouraging...yes?

He may be your only choice. I'm just saying I would make a pitch elsewhere, if possible. Again, we're only going off of 1 really good year. There's mo track-record with Smith. No one can say fir sure that he can be relied upon. And if you're trying to sure up your goalie situation, you should PREFERIBLY do so with a goalie who has multiple years of success.
