I'd like to see Vinny stick it out with Tampa Bay. Southern NHL franchises need signature players to call their own. Something to establish history and roots upon. I think that all goes awry when the guy goes Cup hunting at the end of his career.

Too bad he didn't get a point in game 1000, and that the team lost.

Since he is under contract for another 6 or 7 years at a 7.7mil cap hit I don't see a lot of trade destinations... anyway, doesn't he already have a cup?

Modano had a Cup too and while he technically got forced out by the Stars it still sucked seeing him with the Red Wings and I hated Modano. But yeah the contract probably keeps Vinny in Tampa for the next while but in like four or five years when his salary falls down to like $4 million and the $1.5 million and so on it would really suck to see him with another team if he's hung on that long.
