Nikitin I can have for 3 more years (including this), Whitney would be for this year only. I think one more good D could push me into contention, but is Whitney even valuable, or will he just get mono and die?

I'd gamble on Whitney for the year. Seems he's feeling healthy and I could see him having a nice run in this shortened season.
I just have a tough time seeing Nikitin being much with JJ, Wiz, Moore, Savard, Tyutin, and Murray all looking for premium ice time going foward. Tough call though -- he did have a nice run last year.

If you are gambler go with Whitney. Like his offensive upside more, but he cannot stay healthy. If that changes this year then you got yourself a good buy. If you are looking for a more safer approach then Nikitin is your guy here.

I actually think Nikitin has a bigger upside this year. Schultz is going to be the guy there and I think Whitney does get hurt, cause that's what he does. I see Nikitin being the man...all the PP1 time and top pairing time. Even if Whitney stays healthy, i actually see nikitin scoring more points
