Default Draft tonight; need advice. REP

Hi everyone,
I'm drafting tonight and I need advice for the second overal pick. It's a 14 team keeper league. The scoring seting are as folow: roto with G, A, ±, PPP, Hits, SOG, GAA, W, S%, SO. We keep 8 player plus 4 rookie (under 150 gp or 75 for G). We start 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D, 2G with 6 bench spot + 4 rookie skater that count in overal stats.
My keeper for this year are:
Backstrom (Was), Kovalchuk, Carter, Ryan, Edler, Doughty, Bryzgalov, Dubnyk, B.Schenn, Nyquist, B.Smith, Bachman.

Ok here is were i need help. Originaly my plan was to pick a rookie with second overall. Alot of good guys are available (Tarasenko, Yakupov, Grandlund, Huberdeau, Strome). But after looking at wath is available at the draft, I have a hard time to make my mind. Best assets available are Datsyuk and Wheeler.
So assuming Yak goes first who do I pick second. Go with a rookie (Grandlun was my touhgt) or with one of those 2 vet. Keep in mind that the rookie skater count in overall stats and that it would'nt hurt my keeper as I would keep him over Bachman.

Thanks and sorry for the long setup. REP to all of you who give me their advice.

I think if guys like Grandlund or Huberdeau are available you should keep them. There is a good chance they will a.) produce respectable/fantasy worthy numbers this year and b.) become a keeper for your team. In a 14 team league, I enjoy always having a few high value young guns on my team for a couple reasons. They can become keepers and/or they become very valuable trade pieces if you find yourself in an opportunity to win the league.

Out of the guys you mentioned I would select Granlund. Your keepers are good enough that you should be competing for playoff spot this season. Granlund will help you get there and would be a keeper over the likes of Bachman, Nyquist and Smith.

Datsyuk and Wheeler are great pieces too. If you had to pick one It would be Wheeler since your league counts hits. Ultimately you can't really go wrong with Dats as a pick either if you feel your team can win it all this season.

Not sure if I really answered your question haha. If you prefer a young gun make it Granlund though. Elite upside and should be surrounded by great talent for the foreseeable future.

I would pick the established vet here, Datsyuk. He's sure to produce decent stats and help your team right now.

If you want a rookie, my picks in order would be Yakupov, Granlund, Huberdeau, Tarassenko.

I would look at some of the young players like Granlund, Huberdeau, Tarasenko, Grigorenko or even Alex Galchenyuk if he is available as he is apprently turning heads at the Habs camp.
