H. Sedin for RNH?

Points only keeper league. No h2h.

Am I crazy to do this trade? I have Sedin and, while I think he's still good for a couple of more years, RNH is on the rise. Should I be asking for more (if I can get it)? I'm obviously thinking I'd keep RNH for the long run.

I'd rather have Nugent-Hopkins in a keeper. H. Sedin is great but his window is closing, while Nugent-Hopkins is quickly becoming one of the best, and should be for many years to come.

are you seriously competing or are you rebuilding

sedin should be getting you more than rnh

in many leagues a team with rnh is likely near the bottom and likely has zero interest in trading rnh for sedin in his view he would want more than sedin for rnh if he is even interesting in moving rnh

Some information is required to better evaluate:

How many do you keep?
Are you going for the win now?

That being said, I can't see Sedin dropping off that much for the next few seasons so I'm not sure RNH will reach that level soon. I know it's tempting to go for the young, up-and-comer, but if Sedin remains around PPG for at least 2-3 more seasons, isn't that good enough? Why would you plan for beyond that? Heck, he's only 33 and a playmaker, why couldn't he be PPG for even longer?

But perhaps more info will make the decision easier.

We get to keep 4 moving forward (max 2 at each position). So far I'm keeping H. Sedin, Backstrom (C), Ovie and either L. Eriksson or Gaborik. Other noteables are Sharp, Pietrangelo or Quick. D and G aren't as important in my pool though.

It's hard to say if I'm a contender or not just because my pool has only 6 teams and everyone's team is good. I'd say I'm in the middle if I were to guess.

hell do whatever makes you happy

in a league that small with that few keepers its basically impossible to do anything that will destroy your future the worst you could do is make a move that makes things a little more difficult for a short period of time

have fun with it if you want rnh and you are willing to give up sedin do it

i am in a 6 team league (many more keepers) and i always do goofy shit because its real tough to hurt yourself long term in leagues that small

Well you're right that since there's only 4 keepers its not hard to get back into contention if I mess up a trade, but I just want reassurance that it doesn't sound like a dumb move I guess. Sedin is easily a PPG player, but will RNH be?

Given my pool format, what type of player do you think I can expect to be packaged with RNH? I'm pretty sure the other person will give me a W along with him. Is it too early to grab Yakupov and keep him?
