Can Nicklas backstrom and getzlaf have comeback seasons?
They both fell off the map last year? What's this years expectations?

do you mean center nicklas backstrom because he didnt fall off the map last year he put up over a point per game

of course he can it was 65 points in 77 games he should be able to do that with a blindfold on

two years ago he was a 100 point player. Then the defensive style hockey came in apparently. He was still over point per game last year. 44 in 42 games until he got injured. Otherwise, he definetly would have cleared 85 points last year if fully healthy. If Ovechkin and him feed off eachother like 2 years ago, Backstrom can still be 90 point player. 100 points? i dont see it.

we are in 12-13
2 years ago is 10-11 in 10-11 backstrom had 65 points in 77 games he had 1 100 point season not exactly the norm so i am not sure you can 'bounce back' to that so to speak he has had two basically point per game seasons and two .84 point per game seasons once you eliminate that 100 point season the question really is do you draft him as a 70 point player or as an 85 point player imo i think he is safe as an 85 point player provided he is healthy

They will both be fine. Backstrom scored better than a point per game last year and I can't imagine Getzlaf has two subpar years in a row. I think one of the biggest factors will be the short season which should bring out the competitor in both of them, therefore less time to piss around.
