Absolutely not. I am curious to see what people think about Huberdeau's upside vs Hall. If you look at Dobbers Draft guide, it has Hall scoring 40pts this year and Huberdeau scoring 33. Obviously they arent that far apart in the eyes of the writers for that guide. I am wondering who you like in a full keeper going forward.

I'd go with Hall.

He plays the scarcer position. He will have awesome linemates. He's already shown very solid success at the NHL level. Huberdeau's disappearing act at the world juniors should be a cause of concern (not a huge amount, but concern nonetheless).

If this was a mere points league you might have a debate. You start throwing categories like SOG and Hits in there (not that Hall is a beast in these categories) and it becomes no contest.

Also, Dobber's predictions are Dobber's predictions so you can't lump all of the writers (myself included) into backing those figures, of which I disagree with both.

I dont know who wrote the Draft guide. It doesnt say in it who wrote that ( I assumed it was Dobber himself).

I am just looking to see who people on here prefer. I am not saying the Dobber guide is the be all-end all. Thats why I am looking to see what other peoples opinions are about these two going forward. Thats why I posted the question. Hall is obviously further along in his career, Huberdeau is about to start his. I didnt think they were all that far apart, that is my opinion. I just wanted to know who else thought the same thing. Maybe I am totally off base in my thinking. If I knew this confidently, I wouldnt have asked.

I think if you look at the fact that Hall seemed to play like he deserved to be last years #1 draft pick. Especially in the AHL, particularily in the last month or so, where I think he is top 3 in scoring. And he's on an up and coming team with tons of scoring power... and on a team with a weaker than average defense, so they will have to score lots of goals. I think Hall will become your best option. Nothing against Huberdeau.

Hall now, Hall future. The only way Huberdeau gets to be as good as Hall or better, is if injuries derail Hall's career.
