League details and cats are in the signature below. I've got to cut down my roster by 1 D. My squad is Weber, Letang, Subban, Campbell, Timonen, Goligoski and Voynov. Goligoski and Voynov are my bubble guys. I've been leaning towards dropping Voynov but in a recent tweet Goligoski was not on the 1st PP unit at practice. The question is, since this is a depth D (i.e. 6th D) should I take a chance on Voynov and hope for him to break out or should I stick with the known quantity in Goligoski. After the news of Goli on PP2 (I realize this is only practice), I'm thinking that I should take a flyer on Voynov.

This would be a pretty easy choice for me. I would be keeping Goligoski. Dont sweat what you see in practices right now. He is their offensive leader on the point. They dont have many other experienced options.

Goligoski, for sure.
That DAL PP is going to be very, very, very good (I think). |

Goli is the obvious choice. He will be the #1 option in DAL and Voynov is still behind Doughty.
Plus Voynov will be taking on more responsibility now that JJ is gone so a setback, with regards to his offensive numbers, is a likely scenario. let someone else take a flyer.

Another vote for Goligoski
he is the only offensive defenseman in this team and he has PP sp******t in Jagr, he has Derek Roy, Loui Eriksson and Ray Whitney and I forgot Jamie Benn !! Goli !!!!!!

Goligoski is the guy to keep. According to Dobber's projections, even if Goligoski ends up on PP2 it'll be with Morrow, Roy and Ryder. Voynov, if everything goes well, will play PP2 with Gagne, Stoll and Williams. The Stars PP2 seems better to me. And you know that on opening day Goli's going to be on PP1 with Benn, Eriksson, Whitney and Jagr anyways. You'd regret letting him go, I'm certain.

Roy in on the point in practise today.....just saying. I don't have an answer for you but take that for what it's worth.

I frankly can't see them going back to Robidas on the PP. If they liked him on the PP then they wouldn't have made the Neal trade.

I can't believe Goligoski is considered a depth d-man. He will have a big rebound year. And just like others mentioned. don't read too much into pre-season PP units. Eriksson was also on PP2 with Goligoski so you know.
