Default Yet another "Rate my Team" thread (Rep)

Team and league in sig (keepers in bold)

Not too impressed with my team this year. Was able to add Doughty and Lucic to my squad so it wasn't a total loss.

Free agents that I'm thinking about include Atkinson, Tlusty, and Grigs.

Any advice?

EDIT: I know that I'm hurting at RW, but I'm thinking that Kovy will eventually get RW eligibility and alleviate that.

I wouldn't drop anyone on your existing roster for one of those 3 guys. Looks like you're in tough with your roster. In H2H daily changes, having lots of depth will help you win.

I'd try to shore up your RW. Callahan loses a lot of value in leagues that don't include hits and PIMs. Same thing with Lucic. If Gaborik gets injured, which is always a good possibility, your RW will be pretty weak. Maybe you could package Lucic or Callahan and Zajac for an upgrade.

This is a bad team... and you are going to be very hard pressed to win categories this year. You are going to start to have to build your team as category-specific and punt other categories.

You've got a great start on:
Goals, PPP, +/-, SOG. Try to be amazing in those four.

For that reason, I'd consider trying to move:
*Getzlaf, Zajac, Cammalleri, Tanguay, Yandle, Zidlicky.
Those are all assist guys that could put up a big MINUS.

See if you can move them for PLUS shooter/scorers... like Chris Kunitz (PIT) or Martin Havlat (SJ) or a Brent Burns (SJ) on defense.
You could probably package Getzlaf + (Another of those guys) to get two solid PLUS shooter/scorers.

If you can win those FOUR cats every week (G,+/-,PPP,SOG), then you can simply roster several goalies to ensure you get Wins... or you can pull your goalies once you get a lead in GAA/SV% in a week.

5/8 categories every week to win the championship.
You can do it if you punt your assists.

I have to say, Pengwin, that my prospects this season look pretty dismal to me. I'm not sure I want to move two of my keepers (Getzlaf and Yandle) for the sake of an abbreviated season that I'm not positioned well in to begin with.

I don't believe that moving Getzlaf would be advisable right now anyway because his stock is at a low point after last season.

Lucic and Callahan are players whose names and perceived production definitely outperform their actual production in your league. I'd try to trade both of them in a package for an upgrade.

Perhaps target Moulson with one of those players, he isn't a big name but has big value in your settings and builds on your existing strengths.

FWIW De Boer has announced that Kovy will play RW this season so he likely will get dual status again.

Yeah, I agree it's a good idea, but the word is out on Moulson in my league. He got snatched up pretty early in the draft (before Pommer, Hartnell, Bergeron).
