Carlson my best option?
This is for the 2nd league in my sig. We have daily starts and play 2 C, 2 RW, 2 LW, 2 Util, 4 D and 2 G. This is a keep 8, max 1 goalie.
There are a few intriguing options on the FA list for D-men and wondering if any would be an upgrade to Carlson. Namely: Goligoski, Fowler, Wis, B. Smith, Hedman, Faulk, Bogo, Kulikov. I know I have pretty decent D-men and will have a tough time with my keepers next year, but if I can snag the best contributor this year I will have some better trade options hopefully. Appreciate any comments. Cheers

I would take Carlson over Wiz. Bogo will be out until about mid february or so, so i might consider him, but longterm i´r rather own carlson and bogo over wiz

for this year id rather wiz/faulk. but for keeper id take carlson.

I don't know how anyone hasn't suggested Goli yet. For me he is the clear-cut here. He's the #1 offensive D-man in Dallas and will be getting top PP time.
Carlson is second for me, but if Green rebounds this season it could eat into his PP time. There are some great other options out there like Wiz, Faulk and maybe even Smith, but for me Goligoski is the easy choice.

I like Goligoski the best myself, he had a bad fantasy season last year, but I see things being much better this time around. He's the #1 guy on the PP for the Stars, a PP that should be much improved with the likes of Jagr, Whitney, and Roy coming to town, with Benn and Eriksson only getting better.
I think Wizniewski is very underrated, he can put up a ton of points, +/- is a concern but for a single season I like him better than Carlson, and if +/- gets out of hand you can drop him for someone else. Kulikov, Faulk, and Fowler, are three guys I would take over Carlson as well, I'm thinking they out point Carlson.

Thanks for the input guys. I was wondering about Goli since he wasn't taken in the draft. I am high on Carlson as I have him in my other keeper league as well. I am intrigued about WAS this year under Oates, but a clearcut #1 PP guy is hard to ignore. Any other thoughts? BTW, Voracek is also a FA which is also something for me to consider.
