Best Upcoming Prospect Rep Rep Rep Rep
Im in a smaller limited keeper league. My team looks like it should compete. There isnt much left on the waiver wire for veteran D so Ive decided to run with 2 young guys in Ryan Ellis and Morgan Riely. Stefan Elliott and Justin Faulk are also available as free agents but they wont be for long.
Who would be your guys top 2 players out of that group. Im mainly looking for production this year.

For me, the top two from those four are Ellis and Faulk. In a few years I think Rielly will pass Ellis

I didnt realize he is already over the 50 game mark. Since that is the case now its pretty much between Ellis and Faulk. Im thinking about give Faulk a chance. To give you guys an idea the best available dmen from last year are Hamuis, Bogosian, Kuba, Hamonic and Gonchar. The bonus about having Ellis for now though is a player under 50 games has the ability to move up and down from your roster to your prospects as long as there is room. Then I would be able to use guys like Galynechuk, Schiefle and Reilly. Its not always a guarantee cause sometimes u dont have the roster spots, but it can make a difference if the rookies are playing good enough.

Between the two of them I'll take Faulk over Ellis. And aside from Kuba the FA defence you mentioned carry a ton of value.

Faulk at #1 for sure - it's sounding like Rielly has a shot at making the Leafs so he may be a flier (Carlyle had some great things to say) but Ellis would be the safer bet for the 2nd.

Jump on Faulk, this guy is going to be a stud. I don't know why he's available in as many leagues as he is. For the number two guy I don't really like anyone else for immediate production, so I guess I'd take my chances with Elliott who will probably get a shot at some point during the season to work the PP for the Avalanche.

Definately go for Faulk. He´s going to be a stud very soon. Longterm i like Rielly better than Ellis, but for this year only i would go with Ellis.
