With no contracts, how much should they drop before you HAVE to grab them?
Even if they come back soon, they will miss a bit of camp at best and that could mean injury or rust. I am thinking projections based on 43 games for both?? Is that fair?

I think Benn gets signed this weekend at the latest and misses one game or two.
Subban is a different story. Right now, it's not looking promising even though they say that the talks have been 'professional'. I think he's in danger of missing significant time and if it happens, I think he has a rough time when he does come back.

Look no further than Drew Doughty's disappointing performance last year..at least regarding Subban. His situation seems messy, to say the least.
I also agree that Benn seems more likely to be ready sooner - but he still likely misses a game or two. And he seems to get injured with some frequency, so this probably doesn't help his cause. |
