Burrows/Bozak for Franzen/Mason
This is a deal I pulled the trigger on yesterday and I want to see what everyone thinks. League cats are in my signature.
The deal is: To me: Burrows (4.7 mil, expires end of 2014 season) Bozak (1 mil, expires end of 2013 season) To him: Franzen (5.9 mil, expires end of 2013 season) S. Mason (1.8 mil, expires end of 2013 season) I was looking to add a winger and clear some cap space. We use the NHL cap and my team was running almost 4 mil over. This doesn't totally clear that up, but it's a start. It was also a sideways move as far as adding a winger, but I'm a Canucks fan and I've got Henrik so I was happy with it. Additionally, Franzen's contract was set to go up to almost 8 mil at the end of the year, and with the cap going down I was hoping to move him. There's a way to lower his salary, but it's risky business and my first choice was always to move him. So, what do you guys think?
