Keepr Trade - Eriksson+ for Seguin
Hey All,
First off, apologies to Dobber and the crew for the absence while the lockout was going on. Felt it was poor form to leave them high and dry when this is a part of their livelihood. Sorry! And like everyone I'm back and now thinking about the start of our league. So would appreciate some friendly advice! My planned keepers right now are: Malkin, Hall, Pacioretty, Eriksson, Perry, Giroux, Subban, Pietrangelo, Rask and Schneider Got floated an offer of Eriksson + Niemi for Seguin. Seems like a great deal for me, Eriksson is repalced for Seguin and Neimi I wasn't keeping anyways. My only concern is our keeper rules. Understand Yahoo positional eligibility is "crazy" and there's no real certainty. But I guess with best guesses. Am I going to end up with 3 Centers? Malkin/Giroux/Seguin? and only 1 RW (Perry?) Would prefer not to have this problem either at the start of this season or the end of next. Would appreciate any thoughts!

do this deal now and worry about the rest next season. chances are good that seguin plays rw all year and keeps his eligibility again. plus, yahoo gives out eligibility like nobody's business. get seguin.

It's Seguin vs. Eriksson, Niemi is a non-factor as you wouldn't be keeping him anyways.
In a keeper I would rather Seguin over Eriksson, I think your getting a great deal due to the owner probably not having the best depth and needing Niemi as a keeper. I doubt Seguin will lose RW status with Yahoo.

Seguin is slotted in as RW. He doesn't even get C eligibility in ESPN anymore and I don't expect him to.

I'd do this trade in a heartbeat. Love both players but Seguin has higher upside.
If I remember correctly, Malkin, Giroux and Seguin all have C/RW eligibility.
