Just a low rumble for now, but there are whispers KHL teams may be offering "inducements" to get RUS stars to stay and not return to NHL. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie In last 24 hours, multiple sources told me NHL teams would do well to have roll call because it's possible a RUS player or two may not show. I think it's fantastic. Fans don't have the collective willpower to really make the NHL pay for its stupidity, but perhaps these Russian players can stick it to them. They deserve it (I'm not fan of the players, but as usual they lost on this deal financially anyways already) and it would be fun to see a bunch of Russians stay away for the rest of the year (except Yakupov ... he can come back...)

AO is the only player i would see as a real message. the rest of the russians are no bigger than semin or rads doing it only a few years ago

AO and malkin could make a huge diferance but i doubt either would stay.
if closee to all the russians stuck together in the khl then that would send a huge message.

Wouldn't the IIHF then suspend the offending players from international competition?
And Sochi is just around the corner - I don't see any Russian player with a hope of making the team risk it.
