Marleau over Tanguay but with the prospects added I much prefer the Tanguay side. Henrique and Elliott are much better than Tatar and Kabanov.

I also agree. The trade as a whole favors Tanguay, Henrique and Elliott.

This is my thoughts too, Marleau is the best player in this but the quality of the young guys on the Tanguay side makes up the difference and tips the scales.

Points only? Marleau isn't even better than Tanguay. Both are about 70 point players. Tanguay side.

In the last four years Tanguay has only once scored more than 50 points. Meanwhile Marleau's minimum points in that period is 64. So yes, Marleau is better. More consistent and and better recent track record. But I agree that Tanguay definitely has the skill to put up equal - and better - numbers.

I also would take the Tanguay side. Kabanov is out for the season, and he was NOT lighting it up anyway. Tatar is one or two years away. Henrique is NOW and there really is not that much difference between Tanguay and Marleau.

In the last 2 years Marleau has beaten Tanguay by 4 and 5 points respectively. Marleaus gets overvalued for his peripheral stats which don't matter here.
