There are guys who create offense, and then there are guys who benefit from those guys.

Benn makes the players around him better.

Neal is the benificiary of Malkins great season.

Take Benn

Unless goals are worth a premium in your league I'd go with Benn also

Perhaps should be noted that I have Malkin. Super torn.. 2 trades that I could persue, one for Neal and one for Benn.

Niemi for Benn

Lindback, Peverley and Horton for Neal, Markov and Strome

It would be nice to know what your roster looks like. I was going to suggest taking both trades until I realized that might really harm your goaltending situation.

Should also be noted that I'm looking to move one of my goalies for a stud forward. I drafted a goalie high to trade. Also have Halak and Bernier. I dont really want to trade Linback as he will have rookie keeper status going into next year, so I'm leaning toward the Benn trade

Initially looking at the question, I was going to say Benn due to the point driver/benefactor argument posted above. You always want the driver. Looking at those trades I definitely choose Benn. To be honest I don't even like the Neal trade. Not knowing how your point system works, as long as Horton is healthy he is only a minor downgrade from Neal, and I hate any deal involving Markov. Dude is a perpetual injury machine and old. Do the Benn deal, renegotiate the Neal trade or leave it on the table.

Neal for me. I would take him over Benn anyday.

As for your trades, I would do both if you can.

Neal over Benn without question for me as well. Wether Benn creates his own offence is irrelevant in their current situations.
